Hand-carved Picture Jasper slab, set in glass seed beads, and woven on nylon thread.

Earthy tones enhance the stones natural design, while the patterns add a slight bit of clash for a biting play on unique style, that is clearly one-of-a-kind.

I wanted this series to have an organic feel to them- with heavy emphasis on related color and pattern for a mixed-and-matched sort of look. I was very pleased with the results here, and chose to give this slab a full edge-to-edge brass setting underneath the beadwork for lasting wear.
